Strategically, Uncover launched its product line with affordable offerings that integrate locally sourced African ingredients like baobab and rooibos, while leveraging advanced Korean skincare technology.


In addition to product development, Uncover has focused on creating a knowledge platform and digital community, which has grown by over 60,000 members in two years. By utilizing data-driven approaches and strategic partnerships, Uncover is expanding its market presence with an expansion to Nigeria and plans to enter Ghana and South Africa, aiming to become a trusted skincare brand across Africa.


The company began its journey with the Antler business accelerator, where it secured initial funding. The startup has demonstrated significant growth, raising over $1 million in funding and capturing a notable market share in Kenya’s skincare industry. Uncover’s innovative approach and impact have earned it recognition from global platforms such as Forbes Africa and Vogue Business, highlighting its potential and influence in the beauty industry. Uncover was co-founded by Sneha Mehta, alongside Jade Oyateru and Catherine Lee.
