Markos Lemma is an entrepreneur that wears many hats but is most well known
as the CEO and co-founder of iceaddis, Ethiopia’s first innovation hub and tech
startup incubator.
With +10 years experience in startup support, the innovation hub has helped launch
more than 160 startups and plans to expand its current reach in 5 African counties to
25 in the near future.
Markos also co-founded SelamCompany – a startup company working on primary
education and literacy. He actively works to bring the tech community together by
initiating several tech events, including Barcamp Ethiopia, the biggest annual tech
community event in Ethiopia.
His work as an early advocate for the startup movement in the country has made a
lasting impact on Ethiopia's startup scene and has been mentioned in international
media such as The Economist and BBC.
