Hana Getachew is a New York-based designer who founded Bolé Road Textiles out of a desire to merge her love of Ethiopian handwoven fabrics with her career in interior design.
Designed in New York and handwoven in Ethiopia, Bolé Road marries ancient weaving traditions with a modern aesthetic to create ethically sourced and crafted products for the home. The company is driven by a passion for good design and a belief that textiles have the ability to transform interiors and inspire people.
After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in interior design and working 11 years at a major NYC architecture firm, Hana took the jump into entrepreneurship and began Bolé Road Textiles. Her passion for vibrant colors and graphic patterns was a direct result of her upbringing in a home filled with amazing traditional Ethiopian textiles.
